BURT BACHARACH

It is with much sadness that one of the world's top songwriters/composers, BURT BACHARACH left us to join the big studio in the sky on the 9th February 2023. I am honoured to have known him & to have been asked to make my tributes on the radio: BBC 5 LIVE's Colin Murray show on the 9th February & BBC RADIO ULSTER & SCOTLAND on 10th February. So many wonderful songs: "What The World Needs Now Is Love", "Say A Little Prayer", "Alfie", "Always Something There To Remind Me", "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head", "Walk On By", "Arthur's Theme", "Anyone Who Had A Heart", "Don't Make Me Over". "Close To You", "A House Is Not A Home", etc etc. These songs will all transcend their era - many written with Hal David, just genius. R.I.P.
